Wastewater to Wellness: Transforming Water, Protecting Lives
Disaster Response & Emergency Relief
Untreated wastewater is one of the growing challenges affecting urban and coastal environments. When sewage is discharged directly into rivers, lakes, and surrounding water bodies without proper treatment, it creates serious environmental pollution, threatens biodiversity, and increases public health risks.
Rapid urban growth, increasing population density, and limited wastewater management infrastructure have made sustainable sewage treatment an urgent priority for many communities.
At Charm Foundation, we believe wastewater should not be viewed only as waste — it should be managed responsibly through sustainable treatment solutions that protect water resources, improve environmental health, and support resilient communities.
Through the establishment of modern Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) in Patenga, Chattogram and Kalachandpur Lake, Dhaka, Charm Foundation has been working to reduce wastewater pollution and promote responsible water management.
Our approach focuses on creating long-term solutions where wastewater is properly treated before discharge, protecting both communities and the environments

The coastal and densely populated area of Patenga, Chattogram had been facing environmental challenges due to untreated sewage being directly released into nearby water bodies and coastal areas.
Continuous discharge of untreated wastewater created pollution risks, affected environmental quality, and increased concerns related to public health.
To address this challenge, Charm Foundation established a Japan-based technology-driven Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) designed to treat wastewater according to required environmental standards before safe discharge.
The project represents a sustainable approach to wastewater management by reducing pollution at the source and creating a reliable treatment system for the community.
Reducing wastewater pollution entering surrounding water bodies and coastal environments.
Applying modern treatment technology to process sewage before environmental release.
Helping minimize exposure to contaminated water and related health concerns.
Contributing to cleaner ecosystems and responsible wastewater management practices.
Beyond treatment
At Charm Foundation, we believe wastewater management is not only about treating sewage — it is about protecting the future of communities and ecosystems.
A sustainable wastewater system creates benefits beyond immediate pollution control.
It helps:
Preventing untreated sewage from contaminating rivers, lakes, and coastal areas.
Reducing exposure to polluted water and related health risks.
Supporting cleaner ecosystems and protecting biodiversity.
Creating responsible infrastructure for growing urban communities.
Through these initiatives, Charm Foundation aims to demonstrate that proper wastewater management is a critical investment in public health and environmental sustainability.
Our approach
Sustainable wastewater management requires cooperation between technical experts, development organizations, communities, and responsible partners.
Charm Foundation collaborates with dedicated partners to bring together technology, environmental responsibility, and community-focused solutions.
